Eight wins, no losses: Two South Bay teams

After last night, two South Bay girls’ basketball teams are 8-0.

South Torrance Spartans: Bianca Williams and Hana Asano each scored 20 points Thursday night in a 55-49 victory over St. Mary’s Academy. Williams leads the team in scoring at roughly 15 points a game.

Redondo Sea Hawks: Atonye Nyingifa was dominant again, leading the No. 11-ranked Sea Hawks with 20 points, 16 rebounds, six steals and six assists in a 57-41 win over Mt. Miguel Thursday night.

Sad to say, the Spartans and Sea Hawks will not play each other this season.
