Spoke to Andy Hall for the first time a few minutes ago. He’s the coach of Long Beach Wilson baseball.
Already, I like the guy. He’s blunt. Funny. Casual. Just listen to him...
‘After we were named national champions last year, people were saying, ‘Now, you’re going to get a lot of job offers.’ And I’m like, ‘I don’t think so. I’m still the same (expletive) I was last week.’’
Make a note, not only is Hall funny, he’s also a superb coach. His Bruins were, in fact, national champs last season, according to Baseball America, and, this year, they are 5-1 and ranked No. 12 in the Southland by The Times.
