Boys’ volleyball: Valencia wins first two games in Division II final

Game 2 was well-fought and pretty tough, but Valencia prevailed, 32-30, to go up two games to none in the Southern Section-Toyota Division II final at Cal State Dominguez Hills Saturday.

It will be interesting to see how Santa Barbara comes back with no margin for error in this best-of-five match. The Dons had an 8-4 lead in Game 2, and were at game point five times; Valencia closed it out on its third game point.

Valencia, trying to win its fourth title in six years, won the first game, 25-16.
