Boys’ basketball: Boswell won’t be playing for Edison

There won’t be a Kyle Boswell appearance on the court for Huntington Beach Edison in its Southern Section Division II-AA playoff opener Wednesday against Alta Loma. Boswell has a back injury and won’t be making a comeback until next season, Coach Rich Boyce said.

That means 6-foot-6 junior J.J. O’Brien from Alta Loma will be in the spotlight. He has been having a terrific season, averaging 27 points.
