Girls’ basketball: Public vs. Private School Extravaganza

Beverly Hills coach Charles Solomon has organized a four-game Public vs. Private School Extravaganza to be played on Saturday at Beverly Hills.

He has matched up schools with equal abilities at all levels. The top game features two teams ranked by The Times in No. 16 Alemany (12-4) and No. 9 Diamond Ranch (12-1).

The schedule:

Windward vs. Los Osos at 4 p.m.

Pacific Hills vs. LACES at 5:30 p.m.

Alemany vs. Diamond Ranch at 7 p.m.

La Jolla Country Day vs. Beverly Hills at 8:30 p.m.
