To say that Granada Hills Coach Steve Thompson is happy with his pitching staff would be an understatement.
‘Unbelievable,’ is how Thompson described what his pitchers accomplished in four consecutive games of the Babe Herman tournament.
On Wednesday night in the championship game, Brian Munster threw 5 2/3 scoreless innings and Omar Nunez finished off with another 1 1/3 scoreless innings in a 6-0 victory over Birmingham.
It was the fourth consecutive shutout for the Highlanders (9-4).
Oak Hills defeated Crescenta Valley, 12-2. Ted Boeke had two hits for the Falcons.
