Francis Scores 3 Goals to Lead Whalers’ 7-4 Win

Ron Francis scored three goals and assisted on another to lead the Hartford Whalers to a 7-4 victory over Toronto Monday night, sending the Maple Leafs down to their sixth consecutive defeat.

Ray Neufeld, Kevin Dineen, Sylvain Turgeon and Mark Johnson also scored for the Whalers, who improved their record to 16-18-4 by winning for the eighth time in their last 14 games.
