Alemany Girls Beat Chaminade in Soccer, 3-2

Alemany High scored three early goals and held off a rally by Chaminade to post a 3-2 Golden League victory over the Eagles in a girls soccer game Friday at Chaminade Junior High in Chatsworth.
Shannon Lambert scored two goals for Alemany and Lisa Gill added one. Both players are freshman, as are 10 other members of the varsity team.
The win upped Alemany’s overall record to 6-3-1, 1-0-1 in league. Chaminade is 0-1 in league.
In another game, Royal defeated Newbury Park, 1-0, on its home field to raise its Maramonte League record to 2-0. Royal is 1-1.
