Fluorcarbon Co. unit to sell Alabama plant.

The Laguna Niguel company did not disclose the buyer nor the sales price of the Birmingham plant of Fluorcarbon’s Sepco division. The company said only that the buyer was an individual and the transaction involved cash and notes. The plant, which last year posted nearly $5 million in sales of braided packing materials and mechanical seals, will retain its 100 employees.
