Stunt Man Dies in Copter Crash

A helicopter used in the television series “Airwolf” crashed about 11:02 a.m. today near Canyon Country, killing a stunt man and injuring the pilot, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
The stunt man was identified as Reid Rondell. The pilot, Scott Maher, was apparently was thrown clear of the copter and survived. He was taken to Henry Mayo Hospital in Valencia, where a spokeswoman said he was in stable condition. The helicopter is one of eight used in filming the CBS series, which stars Jan-Michael Vincent and Ernest Borgnine.
