Consumer Confidence Reported Weak in EEC

BRUSSELS, Belgium
The Common Market’s consumer confidence indicator was unchanged from the third quarter and below its value in the first half of 1984, the commission said.
For the fourth quarter, consumer confidence fell steeply in France and declined in the Netherlands from the first half. Consumer confidence remained depressed in Belgium and Ireland and was unchanged at higher levels in Britain and Denmark.
It improved slightly in West Germany and Italy and remained at a high level in Greece, the commission said
