Mater Dei Remains Atop Prep Poll

Mater Dei High School, which has won 25 consecutive games in the Angelus League the past three seasons, remains the top-ranked team in the Orange County Sportswriters’ Assn. prep basketball poll.
The Monarchs play host to rival Servite at the Long Beach Arena on Friday night. In the featured game of the week, fifth-ranked El Dorado plays host to Kennedy on Wednesday night in Empire League play.
