Garden Grove

Elk Scholarships Awarded:Six high school seniors have been awarded a total of $8,000 in scholarships by Garden Grove Elks Lodge No. 1952. First-place recipients were Jodel S. Hirata of Bolsa Grande High School and James O’Connor, Garden Grove High School. Each received $1,800. Susanna M. K. Noh, Garden Grove High School, and Pacifica High School’s Samuel S. Lee were awarded $1,200 each. Noh also received a $1,100 scholarship from the California-Hawaii Elks Assn. Third-place winners of $1,000 each were E. Nell Dinivent of La Quinta High School and Walter Wardak III, Bolsa Grande High School.
