Two men have been arrested in the robbery-murder of an off-duty San Bernardino County sheriff’s deputy earlier this month. Richard Miles, 31, of San Bernardino was booked for investigation of murder in the slaying of Deputy Clifford Sanchez, 31, of Rialto, who was shot to death outside a bar April 6, apparently during a robbery. Deputies launched a hunt for a second man in the shooting, but shortly afterward, Christopher Eric Caldwell, 18, walked into the Pomona police station, accompanied by his father, and surrendered.
