Harvey Jacobs, assistant research professor of psychiatry at the UCLA School of Medicine, has received a three-year, $150,000 grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to develop a program for families of patients who have suffered severe head injuries.
“Previous research with . . . disabled people has demonstrated that a properly trained family can be a source of high-quality, comprehensive and cost-effective rehabilitation,” Jacobs said.
