Prince Bernhard, 73, in Netherlands Hospital

LEIDEN, Netherlands — Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands was in satisfactory condition today after exploratory surgery revealed a limited, benign inflammation of the pancreas, the government said.
The 73-year-old husband of former Queen Juliana was hospitalized Wednesday suffering from stomach pains. He will be kept under observation in intensive care for a time, the announcement said.
