Ranjit Sitlani was elected a director of Chatsworth-based Tandon Corp.
R. Bruce Owen was named executive vice president and administrator of the corporate banking group of Security Pacific National Bank, Los Angeles. The bank also named John (Nick) Baker executive vice president and administrator of the California branch banking group, and Kraig A. Westra executive vice president and treasurer of parent Security Pacific Corp. Robert C. Corteway, currently executive vice president, was named to head the special assets department, replacing the retiring Dick Daniel.
Walt Disney Productions, Burbank, named Jeffrey A. Rochlis senior vice president-finance and administration for the motion picture and television division. The company said it formalizes the duties that Rochlis assumed when he joined Disney in February.

William S. Cook, president and chief executive of Union Pacific, New York, will assume the additional responsibilities of chairman July 1. He succeeds James H. Evans, who will reach the transportation company’s mandatory retirement age of 65 in June.
Richard J. Howe was named president and chief operating officer of Houston-based Pennzoil, succeeding Baine P. Kerr, who is retiring but will remain a director.
C. Fred Fetterolf, president of Alcoa, has been given the additional title of chief operating officer. Vice Chairman James S. Pasman Jr. resigned from the company to take early retirement, Alcoa said.
Edson W. Spencer, chairman and chief executive of Honeywell was elected a director of New York-based CBS.
Hitachi America, Tarrytown, N.Y., named Tsuneo Tanaka president.
CALIFORNIA
James R. Errecarte, 37, resigned as executive vice president of the Rice Growers Assn., California’s largest rice cooperative, to pursue private ventures. Errecarte, who guided West Sacramento-based RGA for six years, said he plans to stay on the job until at least July 1.
Rebecca LaVally was named Sacramento bureau manager for United Press International.
David A. Osborn was named general manager of the Chico Enterprise-Record.
