Prep Baseball : Ocean View Moves Closer to Title, 5-2

Ocean View High School moved to within one win of clinching the Sunset League championship with a 5-2 victory over Marina Saturday in Huntington Beach.
The win was the Seahawks’ eighth straight and gives them a 9-4 league record. Ocean View can clinch the title with a win over Huntington Beach (8-5) Tuesday.
In other Sunset League action:
Huntington Beach 5, Edison 2--Mark Rassmussen’s three-run homer keyed a five-run fourth inning, and the Oilers got strong relief performances from Cary Pont and Doug Euper to stay within one game of Ocean View with the win at Huntington Beach.
In Angelus League action:
Mater Dei 9, Servite 4--The Monarchs, Orange County’s top-ranked team, clinched the league title with the win at Servite. Anthony Follico was 3 for 4 with two RBIs for Mater Dei (12-1, 20-1).
In nonleague action:
Loara 8-5, Magnolia 2-4--The Saxons rallied for two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to win the second game and gain the sweep at Cypress College.
Curtis Henson tied the second game with a successful squeeze bunt, and Brian Malavar won it with a two-out, infield single that scored Rich Milo.
