The agreement includes cash payments to MCI Communications and a series of business relationships between the companies. The specific terms of the agreements were not disclosed. The agreement reduces the overall liability of the Bell Atlantic telephone companies in the two antitrust suits that MCI brought against AT&T;, the Bell System and various independent telephone companies. The business relationships include arrangements for the seven Bell Atlantic local telephone companies to begin performing long-distance billing services for MCI and for those companies to begin purchasing MCI’s long-distance and other telecommunications services for their internal use.
