Contract negotiators for Claremont teachers reached a contract agreement with district administrators, and teachers will vote on the proposal today, officials said. The tentative three-year pact, retroactive to July 1, 1984, includes a 5.5% salary increase in the 1984-85 school year, a 5% increase for 1985-86, and an indefinite increase in the final year, dependent on cost-of-living allowances granted to the district by the state. The California Teachers Assn. had sought a 7.2% increase.
