Bigotry Toward Arabs

Just a note to let you know how much I agree with Geyelin’s article concerning the anti-Arab sentiment raging through this country.
As one who was not particularly interested in the Middle East or its problems, I slowly came to the awareness that what information I was gleaning through various sources was dramatically biased. Any half-hearted attempt on my part to speak on the “Arab behalf” brought forth such an eruption of emotion and invective that I have practically stopped contributing to such conversations. Thus my experience with freedom of speech in this country and the fine line it sometimes must follow.
