The San Diego County coroner’s office was trying Sunday to determine the circumstances in the death of a 76-year-old man found fatally burned in the driveway of his Alpine home Saturday morning. Deputy Coroner Everett Mauger identified the victim as Albert Earl Hopkins of Sunny Acres Avenue.
