Port Hueneme Inn Under Way

An early spring completion is scheduled for the $4.8-million, 135-room Country Inn at Port Hueneme being developed by Channel Island Hotel Corp. at Port Hueneme and Ventura roads in Port Hueneme.

The all-suite hotel was designed by Ebbe Videriksen, A.I.A. Architect & Associates, Sherman Oaks, in a Mediterranean style, with off-white walls, slate gray shingles, light blue shutters and blue canvas awnings.

Also included in the hotel on a four-acre site two blocks from the beach are restaurant and meeting facilities. Each suite has its own sitting area and wet bar and many have fireplaces.
