Ropak Corp., a Fullerton-based maker of plastic containers, announced Wednesday that a restatement of its results for the first and second quarters of 1985 has increased profits for the period by $108,000, to a new total of $859,000.
The company said the results were restated to reflect reduced depreciation charges and an extraordinary gain from currency translations. Both situations arose from Ropak’s acquisition of the Capilano group of companies in February.
The restatement increases first-quarter 1985 net income by $82,000 to $312,000 and second-quarter profits by $26,000 to a total of $547,000. Revenues were $5.8 million in the first quarter and $9.6 million in the second quarter.
