Cal State Fullerton Beats Pomona-Pitzer, 14-11

The Cal State Fullerton men’s water polo team won its first match of the season Wednesday by beating Pomona-Pitzer, 14-11, at Fullerton.
The Titans (1-2-1) trailed, 3-0, in the first quarter, but rallied to tie the match, 5-5, with two seconds left in the second quarter. Fullerton then took the lead, 7-6, with 5:13 to go in the third quarter, and led the rest of the way.
J.B. Feaster scored five goals for Fullerton, and Kevin Laidlaw, John Fischer, John Weiss and Randy Ritchey each scored twice in the Titans’ biggest offensive output this year.
Fullerton plays its next match at the UC Irvine Invitational at Newport Harbor High School at 2 p.m. Friday against an opponent to be announced.
