The 30-game schedule is the most spring training games for the Reds since 1971.
The exhibition schedule closes with a game in Tampa against the Atlanta Braves on Saturday, April 5. The Reds open the 1986 season on Monday, April 7 at Riverfront Stadium against the Phillies.
Pitchers and catchers will report for their first workouts Friday, Feb. 21, at the club’s Redsland complex in Tampa. The first full-squad workout will be Thursday, Feb. 27.
It’ll be the Reds’ 53rd spring training in Tampa, where the club has worked out every spring since 1931 except when travel was restricted during World War II.
