Norwalk : Park Gets Fences, Gates
Responding to residents’ complaints, the city has paid $7,000 to install wrought-iron fences and four gates at Hermosillo Park on East 162nd Street.
The gates, which are locked at dusk and reopened at dawn, were installed to combat loitering at the park, officials said. The wrought-iron fences replace 35 feet of a concrete block wall that had been defaced with graffiti, officials said. The work was done in response to petitions from residents of Algardi and 161st streets who complained about park conditions.
