Singer Wayne Newton won approval from the Nevada Gaming Control Board to foreclose on Aladdin Hotel stock that he holds as security, but the board’s action must be approved by the state Gaming Commission later this week. The Gaming Control Board said Newton will have to seek a gaming license if he wants to take an ownership position in the resort, however. Newton contends that he is owed more than $10 million from current Aladdin owner Ed Torres.
