MidCon Corp. filed suit against WB Partners.

In a lawsuit filed in U.S. District Court in Chicago, the Lombard, Ill.-based firm asked for an injunction against the takeover bid by WB Partners, a partnership of Freeport-McMoRan, an energy and minerals firm based in New Orleans, and Wagner & Brown of Midland, Tex. Also named as defendants were FMI Acquisitions, Cyril Wagner Jr., Jack E. Brown, Coach Acquisitions and BW Partners, all of whom MidCon said were involved in the offer. The lawsuit accuses the defendants of violating federal securities laws, MidCon said.
