Cal Lutheran Women Lose to Azusa Pacific

Azusa Pacific guard Denise Duncan moved into second place on the school’s career scoring list Saturday night scoring 21 points, and pacing the Lady Cougars to a victory over Cal Lutheran in an NAIA District III basketball game.
Center Cindy Deyoung, Azusa Pacific’s career scoring leader, added 20. Guard Joni Thompson paced Cal Lutheran (10-10 overall, 3-8 in conference) with 12 points, and teammate Gloria Phillipps had 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Azusa Pacific is 19-4, 8-1 in District III play.
