Two teen-agers were arrested Thursday in connection with a Jan. 24 burglary of the Anaheim church in which $300 worth of stereo equipment was stolen and satanic graffiti and slogans were spray-painted on the walls.
The identities of the youths, both boys, were withheld because of their ages, 14 and 16.
Police Lt. Jack Parra said the youths were taken into custody Thursday morning when officers served search warrants at locations in the 1200-block of Minteer Street and the 100 block of South Melrose Avenue.
Police recovered “heavy metal paraphernalia” at the Minteer Street location as well as satanic slogans that were similar to those found scrawled on the walls of the Unitarian Church of Orange County, 1120 W. Santa Ana St.
Police were assisted by county Probation Department experts on the occult and “satanic cultures,” Parra said.
