Street Scenes in Los Angeles

The other day at about 4 p.m., I was driving west on Victory Boulevard between Kester and Sepulveda Boulevards. In a split-second an accident left a motorcyclist injured.
Within a minute people from neighboring apartments brought a cushion for the cyclist’s head, a blanket was placed under him and another over him. Someone called the paramedics (the sirens were already heard in the distance) and someone moved the sparking cycle out of the way. A truck driver rerouted traffic and kept the lanes behind the accident from piling up. The drivers heeded the self-appointed traffic monitor.
It was like a ballet. No one spoke, but everyone knew his or her part.
There are some good people out there, folks.
