Valerie Brisco-Hooks, winner of three gold medals during the 1984 Olympics, and Alice Brown, winner of one gold and one silver during the L.A. Games, have withdrawn from tonight’s Vitalis-U.S. Olympic Invitational Track and Field Meet at the Meadowlands Arena in East Rutherford, N.J.
Brisco-Hooks is suffering from a tendon problem, and Brown has a back injury, meet director Ray Lumpp said.
