Charlie McClendon, the Louisiana State football coach from 1962 through 1979, and Bill Edwards, who coached for 24 years at Wittenberg, Case-Western and Vanderbilt, were named to the National Football Foundation’s College Hall of Fame, joining Paul (Bear) Bryant, whose selection was announced earlier in the week.
