Orange : Park to Be Turned Into a Winter Wonderland
- Share via
Dust off the old toboggan and head out to Irvine Regional Park on Feb. 22, when county officials will have 32 tons of snow trucked in to provide some winter sports in Orange County.
Tobogganless folks can make use of two-person sleds provided by the county for the “Winter Wonderland” day and organizers encourage the use of inner tubes and other makeshift downhill craft for the four slide areas. Sleds with runners will not be permitted. An adjacent “passive play” area will also be set up.
Cartoon characters and clowns will entertain and there will be a magic show, caricature drawings and a sky-diving exhibition.
The park is located at 20501 Chapman Ave. in Orange. For more information, call (714) 633-8074.
