The New York Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange said they hope to reach an agreement by April to initiate plans for an experimental cooperative trading system involving a limited number of stocks. They also said they have made progress in other areas, including the sharing of regulatory information and market data. Discussions involve a joint task force, named last June, from the two exchanges.
