The El Segundo-based computer component and systems manufacturer said it expects 1985 net income from continuing operations of about $1.5 million, compared to $9.3 million the year before. Wyle blamed the sharp decline on the company’s decision to write off costs associated with the anticipated sale of two manufacturing operations and continuing costs associated with the 1982 sale of a trucking company. As a result, Wyle will report a loss on the sale of its discontinued operations of about $4.7 million for the final quarter of 1985. The loss will be represented in the company’s fourth-quarter earnings.
