Culver City Police Chief Ted Cooke has been elected president of the California Police Chiefs Assn., which represents the top municipal police administrators in the state.
Cooke has served in law enforcement in Los Angeles County for 30 years. He was a member of the Los Angeles Police Department when, in 1976, he was selected as police chief of Culver City.
He holds a doctor of law degree and is an adviser at both West Los Angeles College and Rio Hondo Police Academy.
Cooke is assigned to the Governor’s Committee on Medical Protocol. He has also served on the Governor’s Task Force on Narcotics.
