Harbor City : Saturday Is Cleanup Day

Residents, business people and other volunteers are being asked to help collect litter and remove graffiti in Harbor City on Saturday in the community’s third annual cleanup campaign.
Volunteer headquarters for the cleanup, sponsored by the city of Los Angeles and the Harbor City Coordinating Council, is at Harbor City Park, 24901 Frampton Ave. Cleanup materials will be provided.
The cleanup will last from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Volunteers will deposit debris at the park recreation center; the east parking lot at Narbonne High School, 24300 Western Ave.; Normont Terrace Administration Building, 990 West 256th St., and a union hall at 25949 Belle Porte Ave.
Handicapped and elderly people can call 548-7664 for help in disposing of litter.
