May 2, Auditorium, 8 p.m.: “Towards the Midnight Sun” and “Question” by Joji Yuasa; “Sonatina Para Piano,” a new instrumental work and recent compositions for player pianos by Conlon Nancarrow; “The Key to Songs” by Morton Subotnick, performed by SONOR (the UCSD Contemporary Music Ensemble), pianist Cecil Lytle and the UCSD Concert Choir.

May 3, Auditorium, 8 p.m.: Innovative and idiosyncratic work with technology in video synthesis and computer music, by John Chowning, Nam June Paik, Joaquin Orellana, Ed Emshwiller and Roger Reynolds.

May 4, Auditorium, 8 p.m.: Samahan dancers, Philippine musicians, Balinese-style gamelan with Balinese dancers, Javanese gamelan and the Partch Ensemble juxtaposing the traditions of Indonesia, the Philippines and California.
