(Parenthesis)

I think it’s (about) time someone (Times readers) called (attention to) The Times about the (increasing) use of parenthesis all over (the place) to (supposedly) clarify a (quote or) statement.

It (using too many parenthesis) is (starting to become) ridiculous and annoying--a (type of) bandwagon that too many (reporters) seem (eager) to want to jump upon.

It puts (unnecessary) words in the mouths of people (who are supposedly) being (accurately) quoted.

Am I the only one who has noticed this (silly practice)?
