Museum Opens Exhibit of Aerial Photographs

WASHINGTON — The National Air and Space Museum unveiled an exhibition of aerial views of Earth on Wednesday. The photographs covered subjects from the days of camera-carrying pigeons to today’s eye-in-the-sky satellite photography.
Reconnaissance images included Soviet missiles in Cuba that brought the United States to the brink of war, and a crucial Japanese World War II supply route later bombed by a U.S. squadron.
