Tellers Selected MVP in Orange League

Senior right-hander David Tellers, who helped lead Western High School to the Orange League title, was voted the Most Valuable Player by the league’s coaches.
Tellers was 10-1 with a 1.27 earned-run average. He was 8-0 in league play and hit .375 with 29 RBIs.
First team: Pitchers--Rich Lodding (Western) and Anthony Martinez (Anaheim). Catcher--Mike Parker (Anaheim). Infielders--Andy Ruscitto (Valencia), Dave Brown (Western), Paul Boucher (Western), Dan Price (Western), Brett Gregory (Valencia) and Tim Churchill (Valencia). Outfielders--Carl Homes (Magnolia), Shaun Frattone (Western), Mike Oziminski (Brea-Olinda) and Brian Nelson (Savanna).
Second team: Pitchers--Robert Lee (Savanna) and Jeff Martinez (Valencia). Catcher--Tim Schmidt (Magnolia). Infielders--Fred Camarena (Brea-Olinda), Will Barber (Anaheim), John Hangartner (Magnolia), Jim Murray (Brea-Olinda) and Aaron Jara (Anaheim). Outfielders--Mark Klump (Western), Mike Kelly (Anaheim), Jason Paulus (Savanna) and Manual Rodriguez (Magnolia).
