CSUN Women Tie for Sixth in Division II

The Cal State Northridge women’s team finished in a tie for sixth place at the Division II track and field championships at Cal State Los Angeles.
Abilene Christian, which won the women’s title for the second straight season, had 112 points.
Magdalena Manriquez of CSUN finished third in the women’s 5,000 Saturday with a season-best time of 16:52.12. Teammate Alexandra Aguirre was sixth in 17:16.20. Bente Moe of Seattle-Pacific won the race in meet-record time of 16:31.49.
In the women’s 1,600 relay, Cal State Northridge was eighth in 3:45.67.
CSUN’s men’s team scored only five points points, all on Gary Jackson’s fourth-place finish in the long jump on Friday.
