Kaplan/McLaughlin/Diaz, a San Francisco and Los Angeles architectural firm, has been commissioned to design a $12-million addition to the Sheraton, Newport Beach.
The new 10-story, 100-square-foot tower will add 119 rooms to the hotel complex and will be attached at the base to the existing 349-room structure. The one-story connecting space will contain administrative offices, a deli-restaurant and a learning/conference center.
