Seattle officials signed an agreement to hold the 1990 Goodwill Games, a 21-sport festival created by television mogul Ted Turner.
The contract for the games, which is expected to cost Seattle $69.5 million, was signed by representatives of Seattle’s Host Committee and the sponsoring Turner Broadcasting System.
The 1986 Goodwill Games will be held in Moscow, starting July 5.
