President to Have Physical Exam

WASHINGTON — President Reagan will enter Bethesda Naval Hospital on Friday for another thorough checkup following his surgery for colon cancer last summer, White House spokesman Larry Speakes announced today.
Speakes said he assumed the President would have a colonoscopy as well as other routine tests to determine whether there has been any recurrence of cancer. After Reagan’s intestinal tumor was removed last July 13, doctors said he should have periodic examinations and semi-annual colonoscopies.
