Sen. Roberti’s Attack on Planned Parenthood

Time after time public opinion polls have shown overwhelming support for the right to choose abortion. This support has come from members of every religion, every political, economic, ethnic and social group. In short, the American people have consistently expressed the belief that abortion should be a matter for each individual to decide privately.
Nevertheless, a handful of politicians connive with a claque of those who would deny this right of choice and create an annual budget brouhaha. This silly game has become too tiresome and costly to be allowed to continue.
Legislative sessions are hung up on this issue while real issues are set aside. Courts then must undo the nonsense written into law because these few hold the budget hostage to their personal prejudices.
It is time we told these politicians to stop playing games with our time and money and get down to business.
