Santa Monica : Research Directors Appointed

Kevin McCarthy has been appointed deputy director of the Rand Corp.’s Institute for Civil Justice in Santa Monica. McCarthy, who has done research at Rand since 1974, recently completed a study on the effects of Mexican immigration into California.
Deborah Hensler, who has been a member of the institute’s analystic staff since its creation in 1979, will serve as research director.
McCarthy and Hensler, both senior social scientists, are replacing Stephen Carroll, who has served in both positions since 1981. He will be returning to full-time research.
