Datametrics, a Chatsworth-based maker of computer printers for the military, said Friday it purchased the assets of Magnetic Storage Corp., a 5-year-old Costa Mesa firm, and will move its operations to Chatsworth.
Terms weren’t disclosed. A Datametrics spokesman said all five or six employees at Magnetic Storage, which makes data storage systems for military computers, have been offered jobs in Chatsworth. Datametrics also said that consulting agreements were reached with C.D. Widener and Klaus Stricker, Magnetic Storage’s owners.
Datametrics Chairman Garland White said the acquisition will enable his company to expand in the field of military computer peripherals.
